04//09 @ Home Flashes 14 Warriors 8

Fantastic Flashes Hardballers break open a tight (6-6) game with eight runs in the last two innings as Kevin "Joltin' Jay" Jarvis' double got things started in the six run sixth inning. Jake "Sunshine" DeWitt got the win with five strong innings of pitching and Jimmy "Snake Charmer" Martinson got the save.
Unfortunately the Flashes lost Jim "Big Jim" Narkun for two games. Sparked by some loud and unneccassary taunting from both sides, the game turned ugly when "Big Jim" in the midst of a Flashes rally ran over the Warriors' catcher (who was blocking the plate) instead of sliding under him. Even though the run was allowed and the umpire declared the Warriors catcher was guilty of "OBSTRUCTION", Big Jim" was accused of accessive aggression, thrown out of the game and suspended for the next two. The Hardballers had just gotten "Jotlin' Jay" back from a two game suspension from a football altercation last season now they have to play two more without a key player. Just a little thought from here: Hey guys, cheering is okay and necessary but it's hard to win if you keep losing players. Keep it under control, you're good enough to win with out resorting to chiding the opponent.
